Libraries: Why Do We Need Them When We Have Google?

How much of human knowledge is on the web? No one really knows, however it appears destined to continue growing. The advent and subsequent expansion of the Internet has been both good and bad for libraries. As traditional keepers of society’s knowledge, libraries have had a mandate to preserve and provide access to information, but it’s all different in this Googlized world. How librarians are responding to these new opportunities will ultimately determine the fate of libraries.
